Luka Doncic links up with Patrick Mahomes
The front rows of the NBA have often been filled with celebrities who attend to cheer for their favorite team and the Super Bowl winner Patrick Mahomes is no different. The Chiefs QB and his wife Brittany Mahomes witnessed Sunday’s nail-biting game between the Dallas Mavericks and the Denver Nuggets at the American Airlines Center, the Mavs home arena.
The Mavericks’ narrow win by 107-105 over the Nuggets added the icing on the cake, thanks to Kyrie Irving’s 21-foot shot just before the end buzzer. Luka Doncic was not far off either. With his back-to-back 3-pointers in the pivotal moment, 37 game-high points, 10 rebounds and 3 assists, Luka Doncic gained two more fans, the Mahomes couple. Postgame the Super Bowl champion signed a jersey for Doncic and appreciated his performance on the floor.
The Nuggets have been remarkable since the All-Star break and have only lost to the Phoenix Suns in the last 12 games, however, with this win the Mavs broke their 5-game winning streak. Mahomes wrote on X, the social media platform formerly referred to as Twitter, “This game is wild!”.
Doncic also returned the favor by gifting the couple with signed Mavs jersey’s to end the night on a high for him and the visiting star couple.

Speaking about the MVP title this season, following the loss, the Serbian center said, “I think he deserves the MVP 100 percent. But it’s not my decision, to be honest.” After dropping phenomenal performances in a row and breaking records on a daily basis, Jokic managed 16 points, 11 rebounds and 7 assists in the game against the Mavs but it did not help his team to win.
Luka Doncic is currently averaging 34.4 points, 9 rebounds and 9.7 assists while Jokic has recorded 25.9 points, 12.2 points and 9.1 assists per game.
Although Jokic supports his friend and feels he is capable of winning the MVP title, which has drawn some controversies off-late, Doncic has secured the fifth position in the contenders list for the 2024 NBA MVP title while Jokic is at the top.
