Dallas Mavericks star Luka Doncic was involved in an argument with a reporter after having a fan ejected from Wednesday night’s game against the Phoenix Suns for a seemingly weak reason.
The Mavericks were blown out 132-109 and Luka must have endured a frustrating night. With his team down double digits in the fourth quarter, he had the fan tossed.
According to ESPN’s Tim McMahon, who was sitting two rows ahead of the fan, the trash talk was pretty tame.
“Luka, you’re tired! Get your A- on the treadmill!” he was quoted as saying.
Doncic and McMahon had a bit of a back-and-forth in his post-game presser as the Slovenian guard claimed that there was more to it.

“He was cursing me the whole first half, too,” he said. “I never would eject a fan. They pay for tickets. But I had enough, it’s a little bit of frustration.”
McMahon asked what exactly the fan said to him but he opted not to repeat, instead claiming that he expected the ESPN staffer to be the first to bring it up as he always writes negative stuff about him.
The reporter countered by saying that most of his content involving Luka is positive while noting he and the fan were only two rows apart and he didn’t hear anything apart from the “fat” trash talk, also pointing out that he was not the only member of the press to tweet about the incident.
The Mavs are back in action against the Atlanta Hawks on Friday night.
