The state of Louisiana is getting set to go through absolute hell with Hurricane Ida expected to hit them in the next coming hours. Most experts have the massive hurricane tied as Louisiana’s most powerful storm ever.
The current forecast calls for sustained winds of 150 mph when Ida hits on the 16th anniversary of the historically devastating Hurricane Katrina.
While a ton of people have left, there are a bunch of people who are staying to ride it out and hitting local grocery stores to stock up for when the power goes out.
One Twitter user posted a video of some empty shelves at a local store and it looked like everything was taken, excpet for some Lime & Jalapeno Ruffles that had Los Angeles Lakers’ Anthony Davis on the front.
If Ida makes landfall in Louisiana as forecast, it would be the fourth hurricane to slam the state since last August and Louisiana’s third major hurricane landfall in that time span.
Pray for the entire state.
