On his return to the LA Lakers, D’Angelo Russell didn’t shine the way he was expected to. Following an average regular season, when the franchise qualified for the playoffs, the point guard was unable to showcase his potential and became the center of criticism, but that was all in the past. Now that the LA franchise’s season is over, the man has put everything behind him and appeared in his new avatar.
In the three clips of DLo posted on Instagram, the man is seen playing golf at the 5-star Biltmore Hotel with his brand-new blonde hair. Russell, who has always sported black hair since the beginning of his career, went ahead and dyed his hair. His new look is going viral as the 28-year-old dispatches the ball to its target.
Russell appeared in 76 games for the Purple and Gold in the regular season and added an average of 18.0 points, 6.3 assists and 3.1 rebounds per game to help the team clinch a spot in the Play-Ins. After a decent contribution in the win, the Lakers moved to their next mission in the playoffs.
The team knew going against the Denver Nuggets was no easy challenge, and they lost the series by 4-1 where Russell went scoreless in Game 3 and finished the series with 14.2 points, 2.8 rebounds and 4.2 assists. Following a disappointing end, the LA side is planning on potential moves for the upcoming season, of which Russell could be a part.
