Over a week ago, the Los Angeles Lakers actually pulled it off when they sent Lonzo Ball, Brandon Ingram, Josh Hart and multiple draft picks to the New Orleans Pelicans for Anthony Davis.
Social media immediately got LaVar Ball’s reaction to the trade, but Lonzo remained quiet.
That was until Sunday when he took to social media and finally reacted to the trade and he sounded like a man who was definitely crying behind his forced happiness.
Lonzo Ball might be taking it well, but his dad certainly is not. Here is Ball on his most recent appearance on First Take:
“The Lakers is all crashing down. They had to change the coach and they ended up changing the coach. Even if Lonzo would have stayed there, he’s not going to have a great feeling on the fact that they didn’t believe in him the first time. So now, don’t come at him now talking about ‘Oh we’re trying to win. We believe in you now.’ You can’t really believe that. It’s just like, you know what…here’s what I’ll say, Lonzo has never been a piece of the puzzle that you add. He’s always been that piece. He’s always been a leader. He don’t need people to mentor him and do this and all this. You need to let him do what he does which is win. He knows how to make every player good around him. They going to see.”
