If there’s one way to get under a man’s skin, it’s to call him a deadbeat dad to their child. The problem with using that term is that it’s lost a bit of its original meaning since some women tend to just throw it out whether it’s true or not just to be spiteful.
Back in July, Lonzo Ball and his girlfriend Denise Garcia welcomed their first child together, but by October, Denise would take to Instagram Live when someone wrote to her on to “Blink if Lonzo is a deadbeat dad.” She read the comment, laughed about it, and then proceeded to purposely blink really hard.
Sunday’s episode of Ball in the Family focused on that video when Lonzo then invited Denise over to his apartment to ask about the Instagram Live video and get “her side of it.”

When she walked in, he immediately said, “Came to see the deadbeat, huh?”
“I didn’t think people would take that serious. I was obviously laughing,” Denise said. “I was just having fun with it. I didn’t mean it.”
“It’s really not funny, though,” Lonzo responded. “Have I missed a weekend?”
To which Denise said no.
“Is she taken care of financially?”
Denise said yes.
In a session with the show producers, Denise admitted that she regretted the Instagram video. “I shouldn’t have done that.”
“I’ll try to make more of an effort to get there as much as possible,” Lonzo said as well.
