Sabrina Ionescu injured her left ankle during the first half of Friday’s game between the New York Liberty and Atlanta Dream.
The former Oregon superstar of No. 1 overall pick f the New York Liberty twisted her ankle after stepping on the right foot of a backpedaling Dream defender and went down at midcourt. She had to be helped off the court.
Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James took to Twitter and reacted to seeing the news.
Ionescu had 10 points, a rebound, assist, steal and four turnovers in 12 minutes prior to her injury.
