The hate LeBron has received for so long is still not working against him.
The Los Angeles Lakers star proved he can be a hit off the court as fans came out to see his “Space Jam: A New Legacy” movie. The second coming of the movie topped “Black Widow” at the box office, bringing in $32 million during its opening weekend, according to Deadline.
James was so happy to see that news, because he would soon take to Twitter and mock his haters.
“Hi Haters!” James wrote with a grinning emoji.
It was the best opening weekend by a Warner Bros. movie during the COVID-19 pandemic. “Space Jam: A New Legacy” topped “Godzilla vs. Kong,” which brought in $28.2 million during its opening weekend.
“Space Jam: A New Legacy” has a 31 on Rotten Tomatoes, but it should be known that the first “Space Jam” film, which starred Chicago Bulls legend Michael Jordan, didn’t review well either.
