LeBron James is a HUGE fan of hip-hop as he has become known for posting random workout videos and jamming out to whatever artist and song he is feeling that day.
The Los Angeles Lakers superstar recently got the opportunity to channel his love of the genre by working on 2 Chainz’s latest album, “Rap or Go to the League.”
LeBron explained in a recent interview with Lisa Robinson of Vanity Fair, it was an easy decision to work with the ever popular rap artist.
“Anything I do has to be organic to me, and I wouldn’t be who I am today without music,” he said. “My love for music, my love for hip-hop music … what it does for me in my training, what it’s done for me in my life … There are days I’ve gotten through because of music – great artists who’ve been able to use their penmanship to get me through days. So this was just organic to me.”
Despite having such a passion for rap, James does not envision himself ever owning a record label.
“No, I don’t think so. I’ve heard the music business is very, very difficult,” he said. “But who knows what my kids might want to do someday?”
