Earlier this year, LeBron James selected Damian Lillard to be on “Team LeBron” at the 2021 NBA All-Star Game for the third-straight year.
Fast forward months later and Lillard could possibly demand his way out of Portland for the first time in his career. The Lakers and the Portland TrailBlazers both have something in common this postseason: the two Western Conference powerhouses of sorts got booted in the first round in 6 games.
With LeBron’s championship window closing, adding a player like Lillard could open it up wider before he finally hangs it up.
On Wednesday night, both players had social media going crazy when they were spotted at a WNBA game together.

LeBron James has always had his eye on a particular guard in the Western Conference and it shouldn’t shock anyone if he were to intensely pursue him this offseason.
It is highly unlikely that Lillard would request a trade before having played a single game with his new head coach, but Stephen A. Smith doesn’t rule out the possibility.
