The entire country had their collective hearts drop after sudden news about actor and singer Jamie Foxx.
The Academy Award winner’s daughter, Corinne Foxx, issued a statement on Instagram Wednesday revealing that the actor is recovering after facing a “medical complication” on Tuesday.
Many prayers came his way, and that included from a prominent NBA superstar.
Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James took to Twitter to send Foxx his best wishes.
“Sending my thoughts and prayers to the heavens above for my brother,” James said. “Get well and back to yourself sooner than later! God willing.”
According to TMZ, Foxx suffered a “serious medical emergency” on Tuesday morning and was taken to the hospital, where the actor’s concerned family visited from out of town.

Foxx has not yet addressed the situation directly.
TMZ further added doctors still haven’t figured out what exactly happened to Foxx during the medical complication. He will remain in the hospital for at least a few more days while doctors perform tests.
Foxx has been in Atlanta recently working on the film “Back in Action,” which also stars Glenn Close and Cameron Diaz.
James and Foxx’s friendship stretches back years, so him reaching out is no shock. Foxx even appeared on James’ show, “The Shop,” late last year, and declared the Lakers star as “the goat.”
Many prayers to Foxx for a speedy recovery.
In the meantime, the No. 7 seed Los Angeles Lakers and No. 2 seed Memphis Grizzlies face off in the first round of the 2023 NBA Playoffs.
