The NBA season is still taking place, and LeBron has already won his first award, but not the type of award he may be hoping for. Both James and his movie Space Jam: A New Legacy beat their competitors for the Worst Actor and the Worst Remake/Rip-Off or Sequel award by the 42nd Golden Raspberry Awards.
The awards show offers an annual tongue-in-cheek look at films considered by some to be the worst from the past year.
“For the year’s least original film, plucked from a backlot recycle bin crookedmarquee.com called 2021’s remake rip-off or sequel winner the Warner Brothers studio store in movie form Space Jam: A New Legacy,” the official announcement goes.
James has been mentioned as a possible challenger to Jordan as the greatest basketball player ever in the eyes of many, so he naturally tried his hand in the remake of the movie, but has missed the mark in trying to make it just as iconic as the first one.
James also appeared in the 2015 film “Trainwreck,” which featured Amy Schumer and Bill Hader. Don’t expect the Lakers superstar to be truly offended by this award, since basketball is his day job.

The Lakers’ superstar is the only player ever to reach at least 10000 points, 10000 rebounds, and 10000 assists. The 37-year-old is averaging 30 points per game this year for a struggling Lakers squad.
