The Los Angeles Lakers secured a convincing 118-108 win over the Golden State Warriors. It marked their second victory against Stephen Curry’s squad in just a month. While the Lakers celebrated another strong performance, it was a game to forget for Curry, as he endured one of the worst shooting nights of his career and went completely scoreless in the second half.
After the game in the locker room, LeBron James was asked about the Lakers’ plan for shutting down Curry in the second half. LeBron joked but acknowledged the respect Curry commands as one of the league’s greatest shooters.
“Just hope that he missed. It’s Steph, man. I just hope that he misses. Put bodies in front of him, and you just hope he misses,” LeBron said.

LeBron’s lighthearted remark aside, the Lakers’ defense deserves credit for effectively limiting Curry on the court. Curry finished the game with just 13 points and nine assists. It’s well below his usual standards.
For LeBron, the win also carried a personal milestone, as he improved his regular-season head-to-head record against Curry to 13-12. The four-time NBA champion finished the game with 25 points, 12 assists, five rebounds, and a steal.
