On the floor, Jared Dudley might not appear to be much to fans watching the game, but he was a huge part of the Los Angeles Lakers for more reasons than we could see. LeBron certainly knew it, which is why he is so upset today.
Dudley spent the last two seasons with the Los Angeles Lakers and they’re not expected to bring him back as a player, so he decided to take his talents to the Dallas Mavericks as an assistant coach.
Dudley has long been considered one of the NBA’s best locker room presences with a prospective career in coaching or broadcasting.
LeBron found this out and had a profane reaction to the news on Twitter.
It was just earlier this month when Kyle Kuzma said on Twitter that Dudley was the best teammate he has had so far in the NBA.

The 35-year-old appeared in 12 games in 2020-21 and averaged 0.5 points and 1.8 rebounds a night. That was a downturn from his 1.5 points and 1.2 rebounds per game he averaged for the championship version of the Lakers in 2019-20.
Dudley has played for the Bobcats, Suns, Los Angeles Clippers, Milwaukee Bucks, Washington Wizards, Brooklyn Nets and Lakers during his career.
