The NBA really wants players to stop doing the Sam Cassell celebration.
Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James had a night to remember against the Indiana Pacers Wednesday. The Lakers didn’t lead until late in the fourth quarter in a game Anthony Davis didn’t play in.
The Lakers led 107-104 with a minute remaining in the fourth when James stepped back to his left and drilled a deep 3. On his way back on defense, he did the infamous Sam Cassell celebration.
On Friday, he got fined $15,000 for that celebration.
He was also warned for using profane language in response to his one-game suspension.
