The Los Angeles Lakers secured a 116-110 victory over the Memphis Grizzlies on Sunday night. The win marked a special win as LeBron James made his return to the court after missing two games.
James, initially listed as questionable due to left foot soreness, was cleared to play just before tip-off. After the game, James shared that while he felt “pretty good,” his left foot soreness remains an ongoing challenge.
“It’s not behind me. It’s an every day thing. But I was able to do some great things (on my break),” James said.

The Lakers relied on their star player’s return to break a two-game losing streak. Despite a nine-day, two-game absence, James delivered a solid performance, contributing 18 points, eight rebounds, eight assists, and five turnovers in 34 minutes on the floor.
LeBron James Opens Up About Decision to Rest Amid Injury
Following the Lakers’ win over the Memphis Grizzlies, LeBron James shed light on his recent absence from the court. The Lakers star revealed that he decided to take a break after feeling the strain on his body following a game against the Atlanta Hawks.
“Probably Saturday after the Hawks game, I felt my foot, felt my body. After the Hawks game, after that last road trip, I did my pregame workout on that Sunday for the port in the game and decided that it was probably best that I probably take that game off and then looking forward to the schedule and play a game till Friday in Minnesota,” James said.

“It was a very easy decision for myself and for the team, for my trainer to be able to take advantage of those days just for everything. And so that was great,” he added.
With the win over Memphis, the Lakers improved to 14-12. Their next challenge is to face the Sacramento Kings.
