LeBron James does not seem confident that his current Lakers squad will string together enough wins to qualify for the playoffs.
Back in April, LeBron James tweeted he would never miss the playoffs again. Fast forward to today and you cannot find that tweet any longer.
That prediction was deleted as his team sits at 14-20 on the season which is good for 13th place in the Western Conference.
“I can/will NOT miss the post season again for my career! This s–t HURT,” he tweeted at the time.
The Lakers missed the playoffs last year, just two years removed from winning the NBA Finals. They lost in the first round to the Phoenix Suns in 2021 and also missed the playoffs in James’ first season with LA.
The team is also without big man Anthony Davis, who suffered a stress injury in his foot earlier this month. He’s out indefinitely.
