LeBron James really hyped his son Bronny up on Twitter with claims the youngster is already better than some of the players in the NBA.
The Los Angeles Lakers star is out injured right now and, with the team getting a day off between two home games, he took in some NBA basketball. It appears he was not impressed as he also took to Twitter to state that his son Bronny, a high school senior, is already better than some NBA pros.
“Man Bronny definitely better than some of these cats I’ve been watching on league pass today,” he wrote. “Shit lightweight hilarious.”
Most fans in the comments seemed to think LeBron was referring to Boston Celtics forward Grant Williams.
Bronny, meanwhile, is rated as one of the best players in his class and, following in the footsteps of his father, has been named an All-American. The teenager is projected to be a top-10 pick in the 2024 NBA Draft, though he’s yet to commit to a college program, much to the frustration of scouts.
Should he make it to the NBA, which is likely to be the case, Bronny will have some huge shoes to fill as his father will be leaving the game as the league’s highest-ever scorer. LeBron will hope to play with his son before he steps away, however, and has reiterated the desire on a number of occasions.
