Rich Paul, the agent for Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James, has been a significant force behind the scenes. Paul has helped the four-time NBA champion secure the best opportunities throughout his career.
Recently, Paul appeared on the podcast 7PM in Brooklyn, hosted by former Knicks star Carmelo Anthony, where he addressed various topics, including his relationship with the New York Knicks and rumors about James’ potential moves. During the podcast, Paul clarified his stance regarding the Knicks.
“There ain’t no smoke. People have their alliances, right? That’s fine. It happens in our league. You know the media picks on certain things based on certain things,” Paul said.
Last season, there were whispers that the Golden State Warriors might be interested in acquiring LeBron James. At last, it didn’t materialize as his agent stepped up. However, on the show, Paul was quick to dismiss these rumors.
“I’m not paying attention to that. It’s baseless, like RI accusations. We’re not going to even have that conversation,” said Paul.
