Paul Pierce, the final MVP of the 2008 NBA season, recently gave his opinion about the Laker’s current position and LeBron James’ upcoming journey in the NBA. During a recent episode of the Undisputed Show, Pierce was asked about the Lakers and LeBron James. He thinks that LeBron should leave the Lakers and join the Cleveland Cavaliers next season in exchange for the Donovan Mitchell trade.
In light of the Lakers’ current losing record, Pierce suggests that LeBron should think about rejoining the Cleveland Cavaliers while his son, Bronny James, is selected by the Cavaliers for an unforgettable retirement journey.
“If [The Lakers] flame out & lose in the play-in, I would consider — if I was LeBron [James] — being traded back to Cleveland for Donovan Mitchell… Bronny gets picked up by [the Cavs] & Bron has his farewell world tour with his son.” Paul Pierce said this during the interview with Skip Bayless on The Undisputed Show.
Paul Pierce’s suggestion for LeBron James is a great idea
It is a great idea that the star player of the Los Angeles Lakers should end his career playing alongside his son, Bronny James. Moreover, It will be remembered as a great ending to his legendary career. Although LeBron had a great career with the Cavaliers too, playing again with the Cavs would be amazing.
But it will all depend on where Bronny will be placed and where LeBron wants to end his career. Though unlikely, the Los Angeles Lakers could enter the playoffs. There is no guarantee of a postseason position, but the play-in tournament is the most likely option. Their play this season has not allowed them to secure a top-six postseason seed. The Lakers are presently 9th in the Western Conference.
