Washington Wizards guard Russell Westbrook was still fuming with the fan who threw popcorn at him during his team’s 120-95 loss to the Philadelphia 76ers on Wednesday.
“They don’t give a f–k,” he told reporters. “Disrespect. … It’s bulls–t. They feel like they’re untouchable, they can say what they want.”
He continued, saying, “I wouldn’t come up to me on the street and throw popcorn on my head, because you know what happens. … In these arenas, you gotta start protecting the players. We’ll see what the NBA does.”
LeBron James was upset over it as well as he took to Twitter and demanded we see pictures or videos of the fan who threw the popcorn.
“By the way WE AS THE PLAYERS wanna see who threw that popcorn on Russ while he was leaving the game tonight with a injury!! There’s cameras all over arenas so there’s no excuse! Cause if the shoe was on the other foot..”
