On Monday, the Dallas Mavericks released a statement after fans allegedly harassed Phoenix Suns guard Chris Paul’s family during Sunday’s game at American Airlines Center.
Shams Charania of The Athletic and Stadium shared the statement which explained the two “unruly” fans are banned from the arena until 2023 because they “attempted to give unwanted hugs and have conversations with members of the Paul family.”
Leaked footage from above is now giving us that exact moment that fan touched Paul’s mom and set the point guard off.
While the person shouldn’t have touched his mom, this is nowhere as bad as the media made it out to be since Game 4.
The Dallas Mavericks cruised to a 111-101 home win over the Phoenix Suns on Sunday afternoon to tie their Western Conference semifinal series at two games apiece, but it was this incident that overshadowed everything that went on during the game.

In a video seen on social media, a fan wearing a Mavericks jersey is being escorted out of the building with an angry Paul yelling out, “Hey! Hey! Hey! I’ll see you later! I’ll see you later!”
After the game, Paul wasn’t asked about the incident by reporters but tweeted, “Wanna fine players for saying stuff to the fans but the fans can put they hands on our families….f**k that!!”
On the court, Paul registered more fouls than points for the first time in his postseason career, finishing with six fouls and five points.
