LaVar Ball had been doing so well staying out of the way as LaMelo Ball killed it on the court for the Charlotte Hornets, but you just knew it would only be a matter of time before he started controversy with his mouth and the things that come out of it.
During a recent interview with HoopsView, the CEO of Big Baller Brand gave an on-brand response regarding his youngest son’s relationship with Michael Jordan.
“How often does he seek out advice from Michael Jordan? Never!” Lavar said. “What advice is he gonna give him?… “When was the last time he won a championship? The game has changed. What’s he gonna tell him?”
If LaVar must know, Jordan’s most-recent championship came in 1998. His airness being in the front office has not come close to sniffing one as of yet.
The youngest Ball brother is averaging 20.0 points, 7.7 rebounds and 8.3 assists per game so far this season. He’s shooting 41.8 percent from the field and 39.1 percent from beyond the arc.

The Hornets are trying to reach the playoffs this season, but not helping matters is some players on the team being entered into the NBA’s health and safety protocols. The team is just 1-5 in their last six games.
They are currently 14-13 on the year and in ninth place in the Eastern Conference.
