LaVar Ball has been quiet for quite sometime now.
He hasn’t been in the news and it seemed like he would be letting his kids live their life while staying out of the spotlight. That changed this week when he appeared on “TMZ Roundtable” with former NBA star Metta World Peace and hip-hop mogul Master P and said he hopes LaMelo goes No. 1 overall to the Knicks in the 2020 NBA Draft.
He continued by saying his dream includes the Knicks hiring Mark Jackson as head coach and bringing Lonz and LiAngelo on the roster to create a super team.
“He’d be perfect for New York. He’d be perfect,” the Ball patriarch said of Jackson coaching the Knicks. “And you know why I say that, man? ‘Cause he from New York. He a point guard. Please pick my son first.
“If he’s over there and (the Knicks) get my other two sons, with Mark Jackson being the head coach, he gonna do the same thing he did with (the) Golden State (Warriors) with my boys.”
As of right now, the New York Knicks are tied the Cleveland Cavaliers for the third-worst record in the NBA at 12-32. It was just last season when they tried to tank for Zion Williamson, and we all saw how that worked out.
