30 seconds into the rivalry game against the North Carolina Tar Heels — Zion Williamson saw his 1st installment of the rivalry end after he blew straight through his Nike shoe during a move at the top of the key. He was injured and left the game.
Immediately, rumors started swirling on whether Zion might bypass on signing with Nike after he declares for the NBA draft, with Big Baller Brand being brought up as a possibility.
That questioned was posed to the CEO of BBB, LaVar Ball, and he made it clear that he wasn’t pursuing anybody, because his boys were already bigger than Zion.
“No, I’m not going to pursue nobody,” he said. “Like I said, I worry about my three boys first.”
