LaVar Ball is dead set on making sure Big Baller Brand doesn’t die off. Despite all of the issues the company dealt with in 2019, the CEO and father of the Ball brothers is doing whatever it takes to make sure the company is successful.
While appearing on the Maybe I’m Crazy with Joy Taylor podcast on Monday, he spoke on his plans to offer athletes ownership in his company rather than only an endorsement:
“To get started, I mainly focused on my boys. And people thought I was just going to lead my three boys and that’s it. They got some superstars coming out every year, and I’ma gonna start approaching them.”
He adds, “I’m going to offer these next athletes ownership… and when that endorsement falls down, that’s going to be the new business model.”
It was April 2019 when Lonzo Ball would file a lawsuit against former family friend and co-founder Alan Foster for “damages of more than $2 million plus interest, alleging that Foster ‘conspired to embezzle millions of dollars and then divert those funds for his personal use, including to acquire assets in Ethiopia.’”
Lonzo even covered up his “BBB” tattoo and doesn’t appear to be onboard with the relaunch.
