Similar to the reactions surrounding Bronny James’ draft, his Summer League debut also drew significant criticism for the Los Angeles Lakers rookie. Following his performance, many anticipate that Bronny may have limited chances to play alongside his father once the regular season begins.
However, NBA insider Shams Charania recently provided some clarity on the situation during an appearance on “The Pat McAfee Show.” Charania mentioned that Bronny’s time will be split between the Lakers and the G-League. But he revealed that fans can expect to see Bronny share the court with his father more than anticipated.
“LeBron James and Bronny James, we saw that duo yesterday. I would expect them to make their debut together in the opening week of the NBA season, possibly on opening night, from what I’ve been told,” Charanaia said.
“Bronny James will spend a lot of time on the active roster. Once the G-League season starts, he’s going to be shuttling back and forth,” he added.
