Scottie Pippen ended up being the main focus of The Last Dance’s second hour Sunday night, which was basely the atrocious seven-year, $18 million contract with the Chicago Bulls that he signed in 1991. It ended up creating a whole bunch of tension between him and the organization towards the end of his run with the franchise.
After everybody watched and talked about it online, Pippen’s ex-wife, Larsa, logged on to Twitter and actually came to his defense. Larsa Pippen tweeted out Scottie’s overall salary from his NBA playing career and it actually showed that he topped $100 million by the time he retired:
Pippen’s $109.19 million career earnings were greater than Michael Jordan’s $93.29 million. A large majority f Pippen’s career earnings came with stints with the Houston Rockets and Portland Trailblazers.
Pippen’s career ended after a brief return to Chicago that lasted all of 23 games, but he still racked in $10 million.,
2018 marked the divorce announcement between Larsa and Scottie that would end their two-decade marriage.
“We have both tried very hard for a long time to make our marriage work and have ultimately come to the conclusion that it is best we live separate lives,” Larsa said in an issued statement.
