The Los Angeles Lakers could reunite LeBron James with a former teammate who won a title alongside the four-time NBA champion in Cleveland.
According to Shams Charania and Jovan Buha, the team is planning to bring Tristan Thompson and Tony Bradley for workouts this week.
Thompson was a key member of the Cavaliers side who beat the Golden State Warriors in the 2016 NBA Finals as they came back down from 3-1 to stun the current defending champs. He signed for the Chicago Bulls last February after getting bought out by the Indiana Pacers but is a free agent again.
Bradley, meanwhile, started the year with the Bulls, playing just 33 minutes for the team before getting waived this February.
The Lakers have had difficulty with the center spot given Anthony Davis’s issues with injury and are keen on signing a backup. They worked out DeMarcus Cousins and Meyers Leonard while the eight-time All-Star was out with a stress injury in his foot back in January.
They ended up acquiring Mo Bamba from the Orlando Magic ahead of the trade deadline following the departure of Thomas Bryant, but the former’s since suffered a high ankle sprain.

Buha has suggested that the Lakers could sign one of the players to a 10-day contract as they have a roster spot open.
The Lakers are looking to secure a spot in the playoffs with 10 games to go. They’re 1.5 games behind the Dallas Mavericks for sixth place after losing the tie-breaker on Friday but are still in 10th and in danger of missing the postseason again.
