With the 2024 NBA Draft just around the corner, the franchises are in their last lap of preparation. Apart from Alex Sarr and other international draft prospects, Bronny James is the most talked-about name around the hoops alley. On Thursday, Bronny worked out with the Lakers amid rumors of him joining his legendary father for the same franchise.
Dan Woike of the Los Angeles Times revealed, “James worked out for the Lakers on Thursday, according to people with knowledge of the situation not authorized to speak publicly.” Despite the attempted secrecy, videos circled on social media where Bronny was seen in action.
Incidentally, this was not the first time Bronny trained at the Lakers’ facility. Last month, during Klutch Sports Pro Day, the guard worked out there.
Bronny impressed many keen eyes during the NBA Draft Combine, and interest has kept rising since then. Things will get interesting on draft night, with the Suns also interested in him.
Recently linked to the vacant Lakers HC job, Dan Hurley talked about Bronny and how much the franchise mentioned him during their conversation.

During his appearance on “The Dan Le Batard Show”, the host asked Hurley whether Bronny was a part of any discussion with the Lakers. Acknowledging the 19-year-old’s talent, the UConn coach stated, “He’s so athletic, he defends, but then he’s like such a smart player, and you know, he can shoot, he can pass, he’s got a great feel. (Bronny) could play a couple different guard spots. I really liked Bronny, but he was not specifically a part of any particular conversation that I did not see on television.” (After 1:36:12)
As both James’ futures remain uncertain, it will be interesting to see if the father-son duo can share the same locker room in the upcoming season.
