The Los Angeles Lakers have kicked off their preseason with back-to-back losses. In their first game against the Minnesota Timberwolves, LeBron James was absent from the court. The team struggled without their star player, ultimately falling short. LeBron made his preseason debut in the second game, alongside his son Bronny James, against the Phoenix Suns. Yet, the Lakers still lost in a close contest.
The Lakers are vying for a comeback as they are set to travel to the Midwest to face the Milwaukee Bucks. However, LeBron isn’t happy with the demanding travel schedule. Before the 1,750-mile trip, James took to social media to express his frustration. The Lakers star questioned why the team had to make such a long journey for just one preseason game.
“Can someone please explain to me why we’re getting on a ✈️ and heading to Milwaukee for 1 pre-season game!?!?” LeBron wrote on X.
Interestingly, last preseason, the Bucks traveled to Los Angeles for a game against the Lakers. It seems James had hoped this pattern would continue, with Milwaukee making the trip again this year.
Father-Son Duo LeBron James and Bronny Push Through Draft Challenges
Popular trainer Chris Brickley recently shared insights into how Bronny and LeBron handled the rookie not getting drafted on the first night. Despite the disappointment, Bronny’s dedication and maturity impressed Brickley.
“Not getting drafted the first night is a tough pill to swallow. The following day, LeBron had a workout scheduled, but in my mind, I was wondering if Bronny would show up, too. So, 9 a.m. comes around, and they both walk in,” Brickley said, according to NBA.com.

“Bronny had one of his best workouts. The whole world is saying, ‘Oh, you didn’t get drafted on Day 1,’ but he comes in ready to work. They got a good 90-minute workout in, and that was a sign that he’s mature and ready for whatever is thrown his way.“ Brickley added.
Bronny has already made an impression by stepping onto the court alongside his legendary father. Although his start hasn’t been ideal, the Lakers are confident that the rookie will follow in his father’s footsteps and rise to stardom.
