Since the release of HBO’s Leaving Neverland, multiple entities have separated themselves from Michael Jackson. The Los Angeles Lakers have become the latest to make the next move.
ESPN’s Lakers correspondent Dave McMenamin reported that the organization will be removing “Beat It” from their “Air Band Cam.”
It should be noted that the organization hasn’t publicly stated why they have removed the song from the late Michael Jackson, but it’s not hard to see that it came after the damning documentary aired.
“Leaving Neverland” focuses on two adult men who claim that Jackson sexually abused them in their youth.
Along the same lines, CNN reports that radio stations in Canada and New Zealand have banned all Michael Jackson songs from their playlists.
