Big Baller Brand is not having a good 2019 so far.
On top of Lonzo Ball being out yet again for an extended period of time due to injuries, the Los Angeles Lakers point guard just recently parted ways with Big Baller Brand co-owner Alan Foster after finding out $1.5 million was missing from his accounts.
Now, he has his own team questioning his shoe brand.
The Los Angeles Lakers questioned Lonzo Ball whether his Big Baller Brand shoes were the cause of his ankle injuries.
“Yeah, they talked to me. They asked me about it, and I told ’em, ‘I feel comfortable. If I wasn’t comfortable, I wouldn’t play in ’em. If I didn’t play in [his signature BBB shoes], I’d play in Kobe [Bryant’s signature Nike shoe]. I work out in [LeBron James’ signature Nike shoe], but that’s because they’re heavier,” said Ball.
Lonzo also said he told the Lakers he was open to making adjustments — “just minor things,” he said — to his Big Baller Brand shoes if needed.
In just two seasons, Ball has suffered 3 separate ankle injuries. Lonzo played 47 games this season, which was 5 less than he played during his rookie campaign.
The Better Business Bureau gave BBB a failing grade in 2018 after receiving 184 complaints over the past three years.

“They still have an F with us,” Blair Looney, president of the Better Business Bureau of Central California and Inland Empire Counties, told ESPN in January. “We are continuing to work with them on straightening things out.”
“We are trying to help Big Baller recognize what the issues are with their customers to help them fix those,” he said. “And they haven’t, in our opinion, dedicated the resources it takes to get it done.”
Lonzo owns 51 percent of Big Baller Brand, and his father, 16.4 percent. Lonzo’s mother and Foster each own 16.3 percent.
