Los Angeles Lakers head coach JJ Redick had a short and blunt response to a question about LeBron James’ potential return amid the superstar’s mysterious disappearance.
Earlier this week, Redick said that LeBron James was being excused from the team for personal reasons. The soon-to-be 39-year-old, who’s also dealing with a foot injury, has missed the Lakers’ last two games.
Per Jovan Buha of The Athletic, Redick was asked if he had an update on when James would return before the Lakers’ Friday night road game against the Minnesota Timberwolves.
“No,” Redick said.

The lack of depth behind the big two has been problematic, and it’s hard to see the Lakers going on a deep run if they can’t find more scoring help for their stars.
