A major fire in northwest Los Angeles broke out on Tuesday, driven by strong winds. This forced the evacuation of around 30,000 residents from the upscale Pacific Palisades neighborhood. Notably, the family of Los Angeles Lakers head coach JJ Redick was among those who had to leave their homes.
In a recent press conference conducted before the matchup against the Dallas Mavericks, Redick addressed the devastating Pacific Palisades fire. He conveyed his heartfelt prayers for all individuals impacted by this tragic event. Furthermore, he disclosed that his own family was required to evacuate their residence as a direct result of the fire in Los Angeles.
“I want to acknowledge and send thoughts and prayers to everyone in Palisades right now. It’s where I live. My family, my wife’s family, my wife’s twin sister. They’ve evacuated. I know there are a lot of people freaking out right now, including my family,” Redick said.
