2022 has been a very challenging year for LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers. After completely missing out on the playoffs last season, to a summer filled with drama and controversy and now a poor start to this season, things have not gone according to plan.
With the Lakers currently sitting at 14-21 which places them 13th in the Western Conference, reports are being made of LeBron requesting the front office to make some major personnel changes. This should come as no surprise as James has been known to make these requests in the past, what is surprising is the fact that the organization appears to be ignoring him.
Lebron James is one of the greatest basketball players of all time, however, he is turning 38 years old this week and can no longer single-handedly carry a team like he used to. With Anthony Davis seemingly injured all the time and Russell Westbrook not being the player he used to be, James just does not have the support around him to make the Lakers a contender.
Many basketball experts have joked over the years that LeBron is not just a player on a team, he is also the coach and general manager. Unfortunately for King James, those days appear to be over.
