All eyes were on Game 5 of the Western Conference Finals on Thursday between the Mavericks and Timberwolves to see whether the former end the series with their final win or the latter could bounce back. Among many attendees at the Target Center was popular rapper Snoop Dogg, who came to cheer for the Wolves but ended up getting disappointed, thanks to Luka Doncic.
After the Mavs guard shot a basket early in the game, he was spotted saying something directed at the crowd. As the camera panned towards the courtside, Snoop Dogg was seen laughing. The rapper sat beside music producer Jimmy Jam in T’Wolves jerseys.
During the final quarter, when Luka shot a 3-pointer, Snoop Dogg shook his head in disappointment. The Wolves lost the game by 103-124, ending their playoff run.
The Mavericks were way stronger in the opening half, securing a 29-point lead. Though the Wolves dominated in the latter half, by outscoring them in both quarters, the damage was already done. Anthony Edwards, who was confident that his team would make it into the fifth game and proceed to the sixth, had to give in to the Mavericks side.
Ant-Man and Karl-Anthony Towns played remarkably and scored 28 points each, but their Wolves teammates couldn’t score at least 10 points, which fell short against the Mavs’ offense.

Doncic hit 14 shots out of 22 attempts from the field and 6-of-10 threes, while Irving scored 14-of-27 shots from the floor and 4-of-10 from 3-point range. Both guards added 36 points to Dallas’ scoreboard, along with 14 rebounds and 10 assists.
For his exceptional contribution in the Conference Finals series, averaging 32.4 points, 9.6 rebounds, and 8.2 assists per game, Doncic was rewarded with the much-deserving WCF MVP.
Following their 4-1 series victory, the Mavs proceeded to the NBA Finals, where the Boston Celtics are waiting to give them a tough fight.
