The Lakers guard D’Angelo Russell’s girlfriend Laura Ivaniukas stole hearts on the internet with her recent Instagram story showing off her date pictures with their adorable toddler Riley.
Ivaniukas was enjoying a mother-son moment when little Riley was seen enjoying his ice cream. She captioned the picture as “Gelato date with my boy”. By dropping cute snaps of her baby, the social media influencer melted the hearts of her followers.
Russell and Ivaniukas found their way to each other’s company through a common friend and have been together since 2020. They had their only child, Riley Jonas Russell, two years later and announced this year in March that the pair is soon expecting a daughter.
The mother-son duo have been spotted multiple times at the courtside cheering for daddy Russell at the Crypto.com arena. With DLo’s end time in the Los Angeles franchise approaching quickly, there might be a possibility that they have to visit some other arena in the following season.
D’Angelo Russell Might Leave Lakers
Ever since his comeback to the purple and gold, D’Angelo Russell has been the center of attention for his potential trade rumors. As his $36 million contract is nearing its end, there are speculations about possible suitors that could acquire the 28-year-old if he doesn’t fit into the Lakers roster.
According to Eric Pincus of the Bleacher Report, the Brooklyn Nets are in search of a guard, but there is no certainty that the Brooklyn franchise would approach Russell for the task.

Despite raising hopes during his return, the former Nets guard couldn’t stand out with his performance in the entire season, but he showed some glimpses of his talent, averaging 18 points, 6.3 assists, and 3.1 rebounds in his 76 appearances. However, in the playoffs when he couldn’t deliver what was expected of him, a lot of questions were raised about his future in LA.
For now, all eyes will remain on the summer trade to see if the Lakers will hold on to the All-Star guard after their disappointing exit. If Russell uses his player option to extract a better deal or find a new home for himself, it is entirely a matter to be monitored in the summer.
