Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James received quite the special gift one month after surpassing Kareem Abdul-Jabbar as the NBA’s all-time scoring leader.
James received a custom pendant made by the Eliantte and Co. jewelry brand. Elliot Eliantte, who owns the company, posted several videos of James’ shiny new item on Instagram that you can view below:
Speaking to Victoria Hernandez of USA Today, Simon Babaev of Eliannte and Co. stated, “The inspiration is everything that is LeBron as a person, where he came from, where he is and where he is going.”
James surpassed Abdul-Jabbar, another Laker Legend, for the all-time scoring record on Feb. 7 against the Oklahoma City Thunder. Abdul-Jabbar held the record for 39 years, fittingly breaking it while
James, who turned 38 years of age on Dec. 30, is averaging 29.5 points, 8.4 rebounds and 6.9 assists per game for the Lakers. Ahead of the trade deadline, LA dealt struggling point guard Russell Westbrook in a three-way trade that brought D’Angelo Russell over to La La Land.
The Lakers will return to the court on Friday when they host the Toronto Raptors.
