Ever since his arrival in the NBA, all the spotlight has been on LeBron James’ son Bronny James. All of that has been made possible because of the LA Lakers. The franchise drafted Bronny as their 55th pick, uniting the father and son, and this soon became the talk of the town. Like many others, the Clippers’ ace Paul George brought up his topic on his “Podcast P” showering the young guard with praise.
Predicting the impact the duo will have on the fans, PG-13 said, “Just imagine Bronny [James] throws a lob to LeBron [James], LA is gonna go crazy… I’m a fan of Bronny I think he has NBA potential.” George believes that the 19-year-old possesses the abilities required to ace in the league. He also feels that the pair will set the court on fire with their masterclass performance.
LeBron and Bronny have already etched their names on the NBA books as the only father-son duo to be playing at the same time. The 39-year-old, who has expressed his desire to play alongside his offspring, can do so if he decides to stay with the franchise. Many believe this was the masterstroke of the Lakers that made LBJ stay back. However, the real reason has been disclosed.
Reason Behind the Lakers Picking Bronny James in Round Two
Numerous rumors have been circulated about Bronny James’ drafting. One of them concerns the Lakers’ motive to keep LeBron with them. But the Lakers’ GM, Rob Pelinka, spilled the truth.
Revealing the actual reason behind Bronny’s draft, Pelinka stated in a press conference, “He’s worked for everything that he’s gotten, including being selected today at No. 55.” Hoping that LeBron will stay and the two will appear on the hardwood together, he further added, “Next season NBA history … should be made in a Lakers uniform.”
