For the first time in their careers, Kyrie Irving and Dennis Schröder got kicked out of an NBA game.
During the third quarter of Saturday night’s game between the Lakers and Nets, Irving and Schröder were arguing with each other as refs and teammates moved in to separate them. Both got technical fouls, and then both were ejected after the bickering continued.
Closer video seems to show that Irving was upset over Schroder calling him the n-word:
Here’s what he said about it on Twitter:
The N-word is a derogatory racial slur!
It will never be…
-a term of endearment
-reclaimed
-flipped
NEVER FORGET ITS FOUL AND TRUE HISTORY!
Throw that N-word out the window, right alongside all of those other racist words used to describe my people. We are not slaves or N’s
