Kyrie Irving can be quite the strange guy.
On Thursday, the Brooklyn Nets point guard raised eyebrows when he took to his Instagram story and shared a 20-year-old clip of conspiracy theorist Alex Jones.
The video, entitled “Never Forget – Alex Jones Tried To Warn Us,” refers to a “New World Order” that would “release plagues.”
Irving once admitted back in 2018 he has been a conspiracy theorist.
“I was definitely at that time, ‘I’m a big conspiracy theorist. You can’t tell me anything.’ I’m sorry about all that,” Irving said back then, apologizing for pushing Flat Earth.
“Even if you believe in that, don’t come out and say that stuff. That’s for intimate conversations because perception and how you’re received, it changes. I’m actually a smart-ass individual,” he explained back then, 18 months after he first told an interviewer that “The Earth is flat. The Earth is flat. … It’s right in front of our faces.”

Irving has previously come under fire for being anti-vax and pushing unfounded health information during the height of the COVID pandemic.
Over the offseason, Irving exercised his $36.9 million option for the coming season and will remain under contract with the Brooklyn Nets.
The seven-time All-Star averaged 27.4 points and 5.8 assists this past season for the Nets, with whom he has spent the last three seasons. He’s about to enter the final season in a four-year, $137 million deal with Brooklyn.
