Kyle Kuzma was not going to blame himself for an air-balled free throw, so he went with the next best thing, which was to blame an Earthquake that never happened.
In the second quarter of the game against the Golden State Warriors — Kuzma, who is a career 72% free throw shooter, lined up to shoot a technical free throw and hit nothing but air.
The 25-year-old forward had an epic response to it after the game.
“San Francisco had a 3.5 magnitude earthquake,” Kuzma said after the game. “S**t started rumbling. I don’t know. I got scared, and it went far off to the left.”
Of course, there was no earthquake, but at least the Lakers won the game easily. Kuzma dropped 17 points.
