For the second time in just the last few months, Memphis Grizzlies star Ja Morant has been caught on social media brandishing a gun.
As a result, he has been suspended from all team activities for the time being.
Morant’s frequent gun incidents have raised concerns about his maturity and the company he keeps. With so much worry about gun violence and major murders these days, he risks ruining his name and receiving a lengthy suspension from the league. A suspension of this length could jeopardize the Grizzlies’ chances next season.
In response to his latest incident, former NBA player Kwame Brown took to YouTube and eviscerated the Memphis Grizzlies superstar.
“You like to play with guns, huh?”
“I’ve heard of NBA Youngboy but you NBA Dumb boy because you got to be the stupidest motherfucker in the league”
This latest gun incident showed Morant in a car, yet again wielding a gun while listening to rapper NBA Youngboy.

Morant took responsibility for his mistakes in March when he returned to the team. “Obviously, I’ve made mistakes in the past that cause a lot of negative attention — not only to me, but my family as well, my team, the organization — and I’m completely sorry for that,” Morant said. “So my job now is, like I said, to be more responsible, more smarter, and don’t cause any of that no more.”
It took about two months for him to go back on what he said and now it may cost him multiple games next season as a bigger suspension is likely this time around.
Morant was not chosen as an All-NBA player this week seemingly due in part to the games he missed as a result of his off-court mistakes. That cost him roughly $38 million on his next contract.
Him wanting to be a gangster is costing him big time.
