Kristaps Porzingis continues to be a key piece in the Boston Celtics’ success since returning from injury. On Wednesday night, the Celtics big man delivered another standout performance, leading his team to a 122-110 victory over the Chicago Bulls.
After the game, Porzingis was asked about his scoring approach and how he adjusts when defenses try to take away his outside shot. His response left the reporters in stitches as he unintentionally dropped a hilarious “meat” comment.
“Some games they just completely take away, for example, my three. And then every basket I have to like to earn with, you know, with meat and like that maybe I would force maybe that crowd sounded crazy,” Porzingis said.

It came after the French big man recently garnered attention with his confusing MLK Day statement. Meanwhile, on Wednesday, Porzingis was dominant on both ends of the floor. The big man finished with 34 points on 10-of-18 shooting, including 8-for-14 from beyond the arc. He also contributed 11 rebounds, three assists, and three steals.
Kristaps Porzingis Is Confident About The Celtics Being A Championship-Caliber Team
Some critics suggested that the Boston Celtics had an easier path to the championship last year. Nevertheless, Kristaps Porzingis remains confident that the team is built for another successful playoff run. After the Celtics’ victory on Wednesday, Porzingis made it clear that their ability to bounce back after losses proves they are still a top-level team in the NBA.
“If we want to be a championship-caliber team, we can’t lose two in a row. And every time we bounce back pretty well after some losses, and that’s it. We are a championship-caliber team, and we’re gonna have to prove it again this year,” Porzingis said.
