Last month, Kevin Garnett was ordered by a judge to pay his ex-wife $100,000 a month to cover both child and spousal support even though a prenup signed before they got married stated she wasn’t to receive spousal support.
That was actually a lot better than the $146,000 in monthly spousal support in addition to $46,000 in monthly child support that Brandi garnett was requesting from the court.
That order was only in effect until they hammer out a permanent deal.
Just when you thought Garnett was done with this nightmare, his wife is gearing up for this lengthy divorce fight over children and money and his estranged wife wants him to pay for everything.
According to court documents obtained by The Blast, Brandi Garnett is requesting $425,000 in attorney’s fees and costs as the ex-couple prepares to head to trial in their divorce.
“Brandi wants Kevin to cut her a check for what she already owes her attorneys and what she will owe them going forward. She wants the money now so that her “attorneys and I can conduct discovery and prepare for the first bifurcated trial, which I understand is likely to occur in six months.”
She believes Kevin has plenty of money to cover her bill and the money she currently has — half of a $12 million tax refund the couple received — is “subject to Kevin’s claim that it belongs to him in its entirety.”
Brandy states that the prenup they signed said that “almost everything would be his” and she would only receive “an initial payment of S500,000 or S1 million.”

“She claims Kevin was supposed to fund a joint account that was to be worth $12 million and that she would receive half if they ever part ways. She says the account had nearly nothing in it when they separated.
Brandi believes that by not funding the account, he has breached the terms of the agreement.”
Brandi is also seeking full custody of their two kids, while Kevin is asking for joint legal and physical custody of the kids.
