It has become apparently clear that Kevin Durant suffered more than what the Golden State Warriors put out when he left Game 5 of the Western Conference Semis against the Houston Rockets.
The Warriors could use now more than ever as they stare in the face of a 3-1 deficit and are on the bring of elimination at the hands of the Toronto Raptors.
According to a report from ESPN’s Brian Windhorst, Durant tried to speed up the process by practicing before Game 4 and suffered a setback because of it.
This team I really do believe think that he was going to practice [Thursday] and play [Friday]. And when he wasn’t able to do that, it was a setback,” . “Durant just isn’t ready. His body is not ready. The trainers don’t believe, he doesn’t believe it. He tried to do some stuff in practice [Thursday], it didn’t work.”
Jalen Rose also offered his insights to what he saw:
“I’m really familiar with the setup, [the] workout that KD had yesterday with the team… I’m gonna tell you guys,” Rose said. “It didn’t go well on any level.”
“I went from being a guy that thought he may come back later in the series,” Rose continued. “Now I feel like he might not come back at all.”

We’re hoping Durant can play Game 5 or 6,’’ K “And everything in between I’ve decided I’m not sharing because it’s just gone haywire. There’s so much going on, and so it doesn’t make sense to continue to talk about it. He’s either going to play or he’s not.”
