A Fox Sports analyst has revealed text messages from Phoenix Suns forward Kevin Durant calling him some foul names.
While Durant is one of the best players of the current era, as well as in the history of the NBA, he isn’t known for having the thickest skin and always goes at it with fans and media personalities via social media platforms.
Most players either don’t care about online criticism or simply ignore it if they do care, yet Durant is not one to let comments float by him.
The two-time Finals MVP recently hopped into a Twitter Spaces chat with fans who were debating his status as it pertains to the top five players in the NBA. Fox’s Jason McIntyre, like most people, wondered why someone of KD’s caliber would be engaging random fans on Twitter. Of course, he should have known better; that’s just Kevin Durant.
Well, he’s learned the hard way as the Suns star reached out to him personally to make his feelings known.
Speaking on his Straight Fire podcast, McIntyre revealed DMs from KD calling him a “clown” and the “p-word.”

“When you say something not so nice you get this: ‘You’re such a clown. You don’t even like sports. You look like a drama major,’” he said. “I don’t know what that means. I’ve never taken an acting class in my life,” McIntyre, who hosts the “Straight Fire” podcast, continued.
“I said to KD, ‘one of the 15 best players in the history of the NBA squabbling with anonymous fools in a comment section, it was never your brand when you won the MVP and two titles and Finals MVPs. Why pivot that way now?’
” He just got personal. ‘You’re a fool, blah, blah, blah. He used the ‘P Word’ to describe me. He calls me ‘broke boy.’ Doesn’t address any of it.”
