Kevin Durant is a man who likes to get high, and not many people knew that about him.
The Brooklyn Nets superstar is set to appear as a guest on David Letterman’s Netflix series “My Next Guest Needs No Introduction,” and in a short preview of the episode, Durant speaks about destigmatizing the use of marijuana and explains to Letterman why he smokes weed.
Durant revealed to Letterman that he actually smoked prior to the interview, and was high during their discussion.
Durant: “To me it clears the distractions out your brain a little bit. Settles you down. It’s like having a glass of wine.”
Letterman: “So did you smoke today?”
Durant: “Yeah.”

Letterman: “And you’re just fine?”
Durant: “I’m actually high right now.”
Athletes across a number of various leagues have been open about smoking weed. It has become less of a taboo topic to discuss in recent years, as many states have either legalized marijuana or approved it for medical use.
Durant finished his All-Star season averaging 29.9 points, 7.4 rebounds and 6.4 assists per game.
Unfortunately, the Nets had their season end in a very underwhelming way when they were swept by the Boston Celtics in the first-round.
