The GOAT conversation is likely a debate that will never end as fans go back and forth on LeBron or Jordan being the best in NBA history.
Kevin Durant clearly has a winner in mind.
The Brooklyn Nets superstar recently chimed in during a recent trip to the sneaker store to purchase some new kicks.
A fan nearby stated that LeBron was the greatest player of all-time, to which Durant replies with, “That’s crazy.” The Nets superstar then said that he thinks Jordan is the GOAT:
When Durant played for the Thunder, it was James who was winning Championships. When Durant went to Golden State, it was LeBron who stood in his way in the Finals.

It was back in 2019 when Ethan Strauss of The Athletic reported Durant “believed” defeating LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers in the 2017 NBA Finals would have allowed him to usurp James as the de facto best player in basketball.
Of course, that did not happen. Despite the loss, LeBron became the first player to average a triple-double in an NBA Finals. And while Durant won the Finals MVP honors, most viewed James as the best player in the series.
